Sarah Julian and Dave from BBC Radio Nottingham came to visit Taylors today to discuss the topic of cycle safety.

Reporter Sarah mounted her bike and experienced first hand the sheer size and space required when a hgv vehicle is manoevering.

One of Taylors Driver Training School Instructors Jonathan Else was on hand to explain how our drivers and potential drivers are taught to be aware of the vulnerability of cyclists.

Alan Taylor was also interviewed and explained that a large proportion of the Taylors HGVs are fitted with CLOCS software which when the driver indicates to turn left or right actually speaks and announces its intention to the cyclist giving increased awareness and safety.  These vehicles are invaluable when working in the London area particularly.

Listen and watch our feature to be broadcast this Friday on both radio and local tv.
