Hazchem against Autisum

06 March 2014

The Hazchem Network are delighted to be sponsoring teaching assistant Annette Mackerness as she bids to complete the London Marathon on April 13th in a bid to raise money for the National Autistic Society. She will be joining tens of thousands of runners taking part in the world famous race around the capitol.

The National Autistic Society (NAS) is a British charity for people with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), including autism and asperger syndrome. The purpose of the organisation is to improve the lives of people with autism in the United Kingdom.

Mrs Mackerness, who is the partner of Hazchem Networks IT Manager Gary Cane, works as a teaching assistant in the Acorns unit for autism spectrum disorders at Hayes Park School in West London.

A keen runner she has already raised over 1400 for the charity but she will not be stopping there. Activity days at the school in April and a day of running between some of Hillingdon boroughs schools is also planned in a bid to raise as much money as she can for the National Autistic Society.

All the directors and staff here at Hazchem wish Annette all the best in her bid to finish the gruelling race whilst raising as much money as she can for this worth while cause.
